Remembering Mary Haeckel

In memory of... (1)

Mary Haeckel was a beloved member of the Abbate team. In her collective 29 years here, she served as a customer service representative and support to the Personal Lines Department. Mary will be remembered for her dedication, she always stepped up and was ready to help. We each felt her kindness and love through the handmade scarves or slippers she made for us.

Rest in peace, Mary. We will miss you dearly.

“Mary will be sorely missed at Abbate by staff and customers.  Since 1988 she was a friend, reliable colleague and caring person of few words.  Her thoughtful gifts of handmade blankets, slippers and scarves were the warmest expressions of friendship that we will treasure always.  Rest in Peace Mary.” -Mary Pursell

“So many years, so many memories of our long working relationship!!! The most important thing is that Mary was always there when you needed her. Always looked forward to receiving her knitted gifts! She will be in my thoughts and prayers.” -Gada Horehlad

“I say goodbye to not only a great friend, but someone that was like a mom to me.  I will miss all your advice and friendship, but most of all I will miss you!” -Lina Fiondella

“Mary was the sweetest person.  She would go out of her way to help you.  Very thoughtful and generous. Always making and giving the nicest blankets, slippers and scarves.” -Mary Slater
